No recirculation of particles means cleaner air!

Why invest in a central vacuum system versus a non-central vacuum? In a study conducted by the UC Davis School of Medicine, it was found that when a central vacuum system was used participants enjoyed a significant increase in their quality of life, including a reduction in nasal and eye allergy symptoms and an improvement in sleep. Vacuuming with a non-central vacuum can actually increase airborne levels of mite allergens and other biological contaminants, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission; it recommends that using a central vacuum vented to the outdoors may be of help. With today’s indoor air two to five times more polluted than outdoor air due to more tightly sealed housing construction, synthetic building materials and furnishings and household chemicals, a central vacuum system is a smart choice that contributes to a "green" home, earning credit in the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) scoring system.
